Emma's

Book Reviews

This is where I break stories down and explain why they are worth the read. I focus on style (voice), plot, characters, humor, and theme, but other creative elements make frequent appearances as they come across the pages of the books I’m reviewing. If you’re interested in the comprehensive breakdown of the reasons I do (or don’t) recommend a book, or if you simply know your favorite story is amazing and you’re longing to know why, you’re definitely in the right place.

Don’t have time to read the whole review? Are you just looking for the next great, wholesome book you can present to your children or your class? No problem! I always include an “Emma Scale” section at the bottom of each review to rank the book and give a summary. Feel free to scroll straight to there, or check out my Instagram page for brief reviews and recommendations.
